Poison Cake Test or Red Rabbit Test

Poison Cake Test is the test generally conducted on quality inspectors performing a final inspection or Pre-dispatch inspection, in this test NOT OK part is intentionally mixed with the OK lot, and detection of part is to be ensured by the quality inspector performing the final inspection i.e. only OK parts should move for packaging and NOT OK parts should be segregated and placed in Red Bin.  Poison Cake is also known as Red Rabbit Test  🐇 Procedure : Identify the final inspectors. Plan Poison Cake Test. Take lot size of a 100 No's quantity minimum. 5 parts out of 100 parts should be NOT OK parts that have a hidden marking (Unknown to the final inspectors). Mix the parts and provide a lot for inspection. Ideally the NOTOK parts should be identified by the inspectors and should be placed in the Red Bin. Record the details in the report. If the inspector fails to identify even one NOTOK part out of 100 no's then there is a training requirement for the inspector. Plan training...
